Training Requirements
Aspiring nurses in Louisiana have to finish some of the official programs approved by the state.

Each program lasts at least 80 hours – 40 hours for clinical training and 40 hours of classroom education.
On the other hand, nurses, nursing students, and military healthcare assistants might be eligible to take the test without completing an official training course.

Prometric administers the CNA test in Louisiana.
The examination consists of two parts – the skills and knowledge tests.
The skills demonstration includes an evaluation of your measurement skills, such as counting reservations, recording weight, etc, proper hand hygiene, and other nursing assistant skills.
You can take the knowledge test in a written or oral format, whichever is more convenient for you.
