There are some requirements to adhere to for renewal:

  • Holders of DEA registration must attend 2 hours of continuing education for pain management, opioid use, and addiction.
  • The current certification has to be sent to the Board’s Division by the certifying body.
  • Showing proof of working at least 320 hours in the previous 2 years.

Registered nurses have to also send in cards with their fingerprints.
